Precision Mechanical Assembler

Position Summary

Responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding precision mechanical assemblies and machine components to meet quality standards and specifications. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with complex machinery or mechanical repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in machine building, mechanical repair, or automotive engine/transmission repair.
• Knowledge of bearings, GD&T, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and bills of materials.
• Experience with electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, overhead cranes, and ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical assemblies.
• Verify components meet blueprint specifications and required tolerances.
• Install and assemble precision bearings, motors, and electrical components.
• Operate manual machine tools, including lathes and grinders.
• Maintain accurate production and labor records in ERP/MRP systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain high-quality workmanship.
