American Traveler is seeking a Home Health RN with 2+ years of experience and a NH or compact license for a 13-week assignment requiring Oasis assessment competency.
Details- Home health setting providing care to adult patients
- Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day
- Shift options include 5x8 Days (8a-4:30p) Thursday-Monday, or 4x10 Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday
- Weekend work required
- No call or floating requirements
- 8-hour unit orientation provided
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross only accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required
- Must be able to perform admissions and complete Oasis assessments
- Experience with blood glucose/glucometer management and phlebotomy
- Skilled in care and management of peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports
- Experience with wound care, pressure ulcer prevention/management, and drain management
- Experience with G-tube site care and nutritional assessment
- Experience with medication administration and management
- Experience with oxygen safety and administration
- Experience with suprapubic and urinary catheter management
- Clinical assessment documentation and infection control precaution skills required
- Professional references required, with at least one pending reference accepted to begin the process
- Conduct home visits including routine assessments and documentation of significant changes in condition
- Scrub attire is flexible
- Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and accepted at the local rate
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
- Former employees of any facility associated with the health system are not eligible, regardless of separation length
- Drug screening must be completed within 14 days of the start date
