Join BJ's Wholesale Club as an experienced butcher. You will be responsible for the complete processing, preparation, and merchandising of fresh and processed meats, ensuring highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise meats, including grinds and seafood. Assist with merchandising of prepared foods, cheeses, and deli items. Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout the meat department.

The pay range for this position starts from $19.75 to $24.75 per hour.

• Engage and assist members, recommending meat, poultry, and seafood products and preparing special cuts.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards; weigh, package, wrap, and label all cuts.
• Stock and rotate meat, seafood, and prepared food cases to ensure freshness and adequate inventory.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including cooler, freezer, and display cases.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for quality and compliance with standards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned, including cross‑department support as needed.
• Adhere to all club policies and procedures and ensure consistent attendance.

• Completion of a recognized training program or apprenticeship.
• Prior experience in meat cutting.
• Familiarity with automatic or hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.

• Work involves moving on hard surfaces and may require bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assistance may be needed for heavier loads.
• Work in cooler areas with temperature extremes, loud noise, and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
