What You Will DoAct as the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping them navigate payer environments. Work with the District Manager to implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products.
Responsibilities Include- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in‑person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage relationships with accounts, customizing interactions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activity effectiveness, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate and sustain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle while building the Amgen brand and always focusing on patient impact.

- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field that is not sales‑related.
- OR Associate degree and at least 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
- OR High school diploma / GED and at least 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
- More than 3 years of sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, or related industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in specialties such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases.
- Advanced influencing and relationship‑building skills focused on sales outcomes.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies: sales planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; and cultivating internal and external relationships.
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $118,796 - $141,175. Additional compensation includes a total rewards plan with health and welfare plans, financial plans, work/life balance, and career development opportunities.
