The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for delivering merchandise to customers, vendors, and other locations, while also supporting warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, and inventory handling. This role ensures safe use of company vehicles and equipment, delivers exceptional customer service, and adheres to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Provides exceptional service through timely, professional communication and effective issue resolution
- Handles inquiries via phone, email, and fax courteously and efficiently
- Builds collaborative relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams to support problem‑solving
- Safely delivers merchandise to customers, vendors, and branch locations, verifying product accuracy and securing loads
- Maintains valid driver’s license and DOT certification, reporting any expirations or incidents promptly
- Performs daily vehicle inspections, ensures maintenance and cleanliness, and follows all delivery procedures
- Utilizes GPS and mobile devices effectively and maintains regular communication with supervisors
- Supports receiving, shipping, stocking, and order fulfillment activities
- Sorts and stores inventory by size, type, or code, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operates warehouse equipment safely and processes shipping documents, including bills of lading, with accuracy
- Follows procedures for labeling, verifying, and reporting inventory discrepancies
- Assists with physical counts and promptly reports product damage
- Maintains inventory accuracy and proper product placement within the warehouse
- Follows all company safety policies, including job site protocols and equipment checks
- Uses appropriate PPE and addresses unsafe conditions promptly
- Secures loads for transport and handles hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines
- Safety‑sensitive position requiring consistent alertness and adherence to safe work practices
- Maintains proficiency in company systems for data entry, communication, and routine administrative tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned, with flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and responsibilities
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in driving, warehousing, or related functions
- Valid state driver’s license, minimum 1‑year DOT certification, and insurable driving record
- Strong aptitude for math and numerical analysis
This full‑time position may require 40+ hours per week and involves regular physical activity, including:
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs.
- Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily)
