Salary Range: $132,000 – $195,000 per year

Job SummaryThe Group Manager will oversee the operations and maintenance of the plants within the Engine Test Facility Plant Group at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). The resident will manage engineering and skilled craft work forces, ensure contract deliverables are met, coordinate capital improvements, and maintain plant infrastructure for reliable test support.
Job Duties- Manage the test and sustainment mission requirements of the Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS) contract.
- Coordinate and supervise DBA maintenance and investment activities for the assigned plant grouping.
- Develop, review, and approve estimates, project plans, schedules, and asset documentation.
- Ensure coordination with the Capital Improvements Team and other projects supporting capability and capacity improvements.
- Conduct technical and managerial reviews of asset documentation, including hazard analyses and work instructions.
- Forecast engineering, skilled craft, and support staff requirements; provide inputs to branch management and directorate.
- Mentor engineering staff and conduct performance reviews in line with BNH procedures.
- Lead supervisors and craft superintendents in supporting area mission tasks.
- Promote a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- Enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety standards in accordance with company policy.
- Perform related duties as required.
- BS Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with at least 10 years of progressive plant/testing experience at AEDC.
- Ability to maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- U.S. citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience; supplemental education may substitute for experience.
- Experience in ground test operations, maintenance processes, or complex industrial operations.
- Ability to work under schedule pressure and manage team workload.
- Mentoring and developing diverse talent across disciplines.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Advanced certifications such as PE, PMP, or CMRP are advantageous.
