Senior Client Accountant – Property Sector / Manchester – Location / Permanent Role / Salary £45,000 – £50,000 DOE + Benefits + Hybrid Working / Career Development.
NC Associates are working with a market leading property organisation based in Manchester to assist in recruiting a Senior Client Accountant who can support the Client Accounting Director and senior management team. This role is responsible for all aspects of client and property accounting, overseeing a number of portfolios, working as part of a team to ensure the efficient and accurate accounting of client and tenant funds including the management of a team.

- Billing of Service Charges, Rents, Voids, Recharges, Credits, Insurance Charges to Tenants / Occupiers or Clients
- Updating & Maintaining property, lease & occupier’s data on Property Management Systems. Preparation of completion statements, rent review & interest calculations
- Deal with the smooth onboarding and offboarding or hand‑overs of any new or outgoing instructions to relevant external parties
- Produce, reconcile, analyse, apportion and close year end service charges in accordance with RICS guidelines. Prepare service charge cash reconciliation on an annual basis, reporting & investigating any outstanding issues. Inputting and assisting the surveying team with service charge budgeting.
- Produce, reconcile, analyse monthly client & tenant deposit bank accounts, addressing any outstanding positions & backlogs
- Preparation and submission of Financial reporting, Owner Statements, VAT Reports, Cash flows, Net Operating Income and other reports as required by the client
- Authorise and Review supplier payments including preparation and submission of funding requests to client
- Prepare, document and manage client payments and occupier / tenant refunds
- Provide Client Accounting leadership regarding all properties and portfolios under management including supporting asset management strategies, funding positions and client objectives in accordance with the PMA and other guidelines
- Monitoring statutory and internal compliance, including meeting Company policies and procedures, RICS and ISO standards and any statutory timelines and escalation requirements
To be successful in your application for this role you MUST have the following experience
Experience Required- Previous experience working in a similar role as a Client Accountant within property
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Self Management including showing initiative, being proactive and meeting deadlines
- Strong Excel Skills
- Commercial Awareness
