Marks Sattin are excited to be partnering with a rapidly growing and ambitious mid‑market accountancy firm in Manchester to recruit an Audit Associate.

As an Audit Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality audit assignments, supporting Senior Associates and Assistant Managers throughout the audit process. This position offers the chance to build your technical expertise, develop client‑facing skills, and take ownership of key areas of audit engagements.

• Assist in the delivery of audit assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Perform audit testing and fieldwork in line with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned sections of audit files, ensuring documentation is complete and well‑organised.
• Liaise with clients during fieldwork, gathering information and resolving routine queries professionally.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and completion documentation.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Work flexibly across both office and client sites as required.

• 1‑3 years' audit experience within a professional practice environment.
• Ideally, ACA or ACCA studying or AAT Qualified.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
