Accountant, Tax Accountant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

An ambitious and modern accountancy practice in Greater Manchester is looking to recruit an Accountant to join its growing team. The firm works closely with SMEs, contractors, and growing businesses across a range of industries, providing proactive and relationship-driven accountancy support.

This opportunity would suit someone already working within a general practice environment who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive firm. Candidates currently completing an apprenticeship and looking to transfer are also encouraged to apply.

The Role

You will support a varied portfolio of SME and contractor clients, assisting with day-to-day accounting responsibilities while building strong relationships and delivering excellent client service.

Typical duties may include:

• Preparation of accounts
• Bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Management accounts support
• Working with contractor and SME clients
• Supporting senior members of the team with client queries
• Using cloud accounting software and digital systems
