Accounts and Audit Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts & Audit Assistant to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Accountancy Practice.

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing working papers and maintaining accurate client records
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and related compliance work
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Working closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality client service
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Supporting the wider accounts and audit team with ad-hoc projects as required

• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
• Exposure to accounts preparation and/or audit assignments
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or studying towards a professional qualification
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
