You will be joining a world-renowned Media and Broadcasting business as their Intercompany Accountant Record-to-Report, RTR) on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. You will be part of their Finance Operations team, working to ensure all inter-company transactions across the business are accurately recorded, reconciled and agreed. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, the team partners closely with Finance Operations, Treasury and global business units to resolve discrepancies, improve processes and drive efficiencies as part of the business' ongoing finance transformation.
You will be based in their modern Manchester office 1-2 days a week.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely inter-company accounting activities, ensuring balances across the Group are reconciled and aligned. This role combines technical accounting with problem solving and stakeholder engagement. You’ll investigate and resolve differences between entities, support month-end close activities and contribute to improving inter-company processes and controls. You will be processing inter-company journals accurately within Oracle Fusion, ensuring compliance with policies and controls, perform monthly reconciliations of inter-company accounts and resolving variances act as a key point of contact between business units to investigate and resolve discrepancies, support the agreement and settlement of inter-company balances across the Group and ensure compliance with inter-company accounting policies and tax/VAT guidance.
RoleRequirements
You will need to be a Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience, have proven inter-company accounting experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Experience using accounting systems (Oracle Fusion or similar ERP) is essential. Experience working within a transactional service centre with high volume and complex inter-company transactions is desirable as well as experience working in a Record to Report team through a digital transformation.
You must be experienced in problem-solving with innovative solutions.
You will receive an annual salary of up to £48,000 + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. The company has a flexible working from home policy, with you only being required to attend the office 1-2 days a week.
