NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Manchester to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior
. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with practice experience who is looking to continue their professional development within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, assisting with the preparation of accounts, tax returns and client advisory work. The firm offers excellent mentoring, study support and genuine opportunities to progress your career.
Accounts Semi Senior ResponsibilitiesPreparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio
Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax computations
Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries
Supporting senior accountants and managers with client portfolios
Preparing working papers in line with accounting standards
Using cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Sage and Quick Books
Assisting with ad-hoc projects and client advisory work
Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
To be successful in your application, you must have the following:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
AAT Qualified or currently studying ACA / ACCA
Experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
Good knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively within a team
Desirable:
Experience assisting with corporation tax computations
Experience working with a varied SME client portfolio
Ambition to progress into a Senior Accountant role
