Ipswich, Suffolk Job Type: Full Time, Permanent We're seeking a talented Group Accountant to join an ambitious, award-winning organisation. As the business enters its next phase of growth, this is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the finance team, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play a vital role in weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting activities, while also helping to drive strategic finance projects and system enhancements.

The Role As Group Accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting the finance function across a broad range of financial reporting and control activities.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the review of monthly Group Management Accounts. Review journals and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors. Produce and investigate balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure the correct application of accounting policies and maintain robust financial controls and governance. Lead and support finance improvement projects, including the implementation of new systems and processes.

Provide support with daily finance operations, including customer receipt allocations, settlement calculations and inbox management. Work collaboratively across the finance team to improve efficiency and reporting standards. About You We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and process improvement. Essential Requirements Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or ICAEW).

Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience. Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
