Role Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of service charge accounts for residential and commercial property developments. Processing income, expenditure and financial transactions accurately. Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate accounting records. Reviewing invoices, expenses and supporting documentation.
Assisting with the preparation of service charge statements and financial reports. Ensuring costs are correctly allocated to the relevant developments. Supporting the team with the day-to-day administration of service charge accounts. Liaising with property managers and other stakeholders when required. Developing an understanding of service charge accounting processes and industry requirements. Working towards an AAT qualification alongside gaining practical workplace experience.
Personal Requirements Ideally some previous experience within accounts, bookkeeping, finance administration or a related role. Any exposure to service charge accounts, property accounting or client accounting would be advantageous but is not essential. A genuine interest in developing a career within accountancy and working towards an AAT qualification. Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work. Good numerical skills and confidence working with financial information.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
