Your new company

With a heritage spanning over 140 years, the firm supports a broad range of entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies, large corporates and private clients, helping them navigate complexity and unlock growth opportunities.

Recognised as one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy firms, the organisation combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative and people-focused culture. You'll join a supportive team where knowledge sharing, professional development and career progression are actively encouraged, with access to experienced Partners and Directors across a broad range of tax specialisms.

Your new role

As a Senior Business Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, providing both compliance and advisory services while supporting the continued growth of the tax practice. Working closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues across the wider business, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service, developing team members and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.

  • Managing and overseeing a team of qualified and part-qualified tax professionals, including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, prospects and internal stakeholders.
  • Leading the delivery of high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client portfolio.
  • Managing project delivery, monitoring budgets, risks and timelines, and ensuring clients are kept informed throughout engagements.
  • Providing technical expertise on complex tax matters and supporting colleagues across the wider tax team.
  • Creating an inclusive and collaborative team culture that promotes development and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and helping to win new work.
  • Contributing to the achievement of financial targets through effective client management, billing and cash collection.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and supporting strategic and technology-driven initiatives within the tax practice.
What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will bring strong corporate tax experience, excellent leadership skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.

You will ideally possess:

  • ACA, ACCA, CA and/or CTA qualification.
  • Significant corporate tax experience gained within practice and/or industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate taxation and current legislation.
  • Experience delivering both compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of clients.
  • The ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify business development opportunities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering practical tax solutions.
  • A commitment to building long-term client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the business.
What you get in return

In return, you'll join a firm that genuinely invests in its people, offering a collaborative culture, excellent career progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Competitive salary and reward package.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Life assurance.
  • Enhanced pension contributions.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement and the option to purchase additional holiday.
  • Shared parental leave.
  • Fully funded professional development and training.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Eye care support.
  • Access to experienced tax leaders and specialist expertise across multiple tax disciplines.
  • Clear opportunities for progression within a growing and ambitious firm.

A supportive, inclusive and diverse working environment where individual contributions are recognised and valued.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking organisation that combines technical excellence, strong client relationships and genuine investment in its people.
