Finance Assistant​/Accounts Payable

Temporary Accounts Payable & Finance Assistant Summertown, Oxford | 20-24 hours per week | Temporary, initially 3 months with potential to extend or become permanent | Hybrid £32,000 - £34,000 (FTE) Robert Half Ltd are working with an organisation based in Summertown that are looking for an Accounts Payable & Finance Assistant to join the team. You will provide support across the finance function, with a particular focus on Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger.

Key responsibilities Managing the AP inbox and processing, coding and authorising invoices. Reviewing supplier statements and resolving queries. Preparing supplier payment runs and issuing remittances. Raising purchase orders and processing prepayments. Liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues to resolve outstanding queries. Supporting the Fees Ledger and school fee administration. Assisting with reconciliations, journals, budgets, management accounts and audit preparation. Supporting petty cash and general finance administration.

About you You will have strong Accounts Payable experience and a proactive, organised and methodical approach. You'll be confident managing a busy workload, meeting deadlines and following up on outstanding actions. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Ideally, you will have previous experience working within a school, charity or similar not-for-profit organisation, although this is not essential.
