- Bournemouth - £30,000 - £40,000 If you're an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working with clients and wants to take ownership of a varied bureau payroll function, this could be an excellent opportunity to consider. Trial Balance are working with a well-established accountancy practice in Bournemouth, looking to recruit an experienced Bureau Payroll Manager to join its team. This is a varied and responsible position, working across a portfolio of clients and taking a lead role in delivering a high-quality payroll service.

As Bureau Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients
- Ensuring accurate and timely submission of RTI and other statutory returns
- Managing auto-enrolment pension requirements and other payroll-related processes
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, dealing confidently with payroll queries
- Liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies where required
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and ensuring clients remain compliant
- Reviewing payroll work and supporting the development of more junior members of the team
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver an efficient bureau service The successful Bureau Payroll Manager will:
Have significant experience working within a payroll bureau or accountancy practice environment, with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and the ability to manage multiple client payrolls independently. You'll be confident dealing directly with clients, highly organised and comfortable working to strict deadlines. Previous experience overseeing or supporting other payroll staff would be advantageous, alongside a genuine interest in maintaining high standards and improving the service provided to clients.
