Straw Your new company A highly regarded independent accountancy practice based in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding audit and assurance team. With a strong reputation for quality, a diverse client portfolio and a commitment to developing its people, this firm offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious auditor looking to progress their career in a supportive environment.
Your new role
As Audit Senior, you will take a leading role in delivering audit engagements for a wide range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to larger, more complex organisations across multiple sectors.
You will:
Lead on-site audit assignments from planning through to completion
Manage fieldwork, supervise junior team members and review their work Prepare high-quality audit files and ensure compliance with standards
Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact during assignments
Support partners and managers with ad‑hoc technical and advisory work
What you'll need to succeedACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
Proven audit experience within practice
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulations
Confident leading audits and supporting junior colleagues
Excellent communication, organisation and client‑facing skills
