Bookkeeper

Processing client invoices and maintaining accurate accounting records Completing bank reconciliations within agreed timescales Managing data entry and sales and purchase ledgers Drafting client payment runs Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control Keeping workflow and task-management systems accurate and up to date Responding to client requirements professionally and promptly Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency Raising any risks or errors with the appropriate manager Maintaining a consistently high standard of client service You may already be working as a Bookkeeper within an accountancy practice, outsourced finance provider or in-house finance team.

You will ideally bring:
Practical bookkeeping and ledger-management experience Experience completing bank reconciliations and processing invoices Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy The ability to manage several priorities and meet deadlines Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word and other everyday systems

Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting software, or the willingness to develop it Strong communication and interpersonal skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes The ability to work flexibly and supportively within a busy team This could suit an established Bookkeeper seeking a new environment or someone who has developed a solid foundation in accounting and is ready to take the next step.
