Management Accountant

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion  turnover. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensure all appropriate costs have been allocated to the correct revenue stream, allowing the Senior Management Team to evaluate the profitability of the different business activities.
• Combine and reconcile multiple sources of ERP and spreadsheet information.
• Prepare and submit allocated Balance sheet GL accounts to a strict timetable in an agreed standard format.
• Complete ad-hoc information and processing requests.
• Preparation and reconciliation of weekly and period management accounts.
• Weekly inventory reconciliation, valuation and revaluation.
• Periodic inventory reconciliation, valuation and revaluation at 3rd party frozen cold stores within the UK.
• Reconciliation of logistics, losses and disposals, including Asda depot losses
• Review and analysis of purchase price variances against forecast and budget.
• Critical review of all trends and variances.
• Business partnering with operational and functional managers, preparation and presentation of full weekly P&L review.
• Ongoing improvement of accounting processes, analysis and reporting.
• Cover for preparation and running of supplier payments including international payments. What are we looking for?

• Attention to detail, a methodical and logical approach.
