Accounts Receivable Clerk

Key Responsibilities:

* Raising and issuing customer invoices and credit notes.

* Monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances.

* Chasing overdue payments by telephone and email.

* Allocating incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.

* Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies.

* Resolving invoice queries and payment disputes promptly.

* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.

* Preparing aged debt reports and providing updates on outstanding balances.

* Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

* Assisting with month-end processes and other finance duties as required.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role is desirable.

* Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software.

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

* Annual Salary up to £29,000

* Annual bonus – 5% for the first year / will increase

* Hybrid working after probation – 2 days from home 3 days in the office
