Ward Clerk Ward A5 – Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
The Ward Clerk is a vital member of Ward A5, providing essential clerical and administrative support. We are seeking a highly organised, reliable individual with excellent time‑management, strong communication abilities and a commitment to delivering high‑standard service to both patients and staff.
- Maintain clear communication with patients’ families and act as a key point of liaison.
- Coordinate patient admissions to the ward, update the HIVE system and handle phone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Operate within established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to improving best practices and ensuring that high‑quality standards are consistently maintained.
Workload: 22.5 hours per week (Ideally 3 days a week, but 2 days may be considered).
We are looking for a candidate who has excellent telephone and communication skills, is eager to join our administration team at Wythenshawe, and can work flexibly. Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Excellent IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment.
- High levels of personal commitment to facilitating the delivery of a patient‑focused service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
