Purchasing Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Shipley. This is a full-time, office-based role supporting purchasing and procurement activities within a manufacturing and engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background and be comfortable working closely with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Raising and processing purchase orders
• Liaising with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and deliveries
• Supporting purchasing activities within a manufacturing environment
• Maintaining accurate records and purchasing documentation
• Assisting with stock control and order tracking
• Resolving delivery and invoice queries
• Providing general administrative support to the purchasing and engineering teams

• Previous experience in manufacturing/administration is essential
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and purchasing systems
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
