Job Overview
Provide an efficient and effective administrative service with the Manchester Early Detection Intervention Team (EDIT) and Early Intervention Services (EIS) Team. Carry out all administrative tasks related to the EIS/EDIT role, audio typing, answering telephone calls from patients, relatives and various clinical staff and professionals to support the mental health service. Perform a variety of administrative tasks as directed by the Admin Manager.
MainDuties
- Provide admin support to the clinical team in relation to care plans and clinical correspondence.
- Deal with all incoming referrals to the service.
- Process all incoming and outgoing mail, distributing and responding within limits.
- Maintain sufficient stocks of stationery for the team without resorting to stockpiling.
- Coordinate and facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the team.
- Handle telephone callers efficiently, precisely and courteously.
- Produce minutes from daily zoning meetings, MDT or other team meetings as required.
- Maintain filing systems suitable for the service.
- Maintain client records for data input onto health and social services computer systems.
- Maintain referral and discharge records for statistical purposes and enter them accurately and timely into the Paris computerised system.
- Scan relevant documentation to update patient records and record messages accurately in the daily diary for all team members.
- Type correspondence, reports, etc., amend format and grammar as necessary within the PARIS computerised system.
- Develop an understanding of the patient record system (PARIS) and be responsible for maintaining data quality.
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years).

- Good level of education in Maths and English.
- Recognised competency‑based level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., NVQ, BTEC QCF, Apprenticeship) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Other relevant IT qualifications (RSA
2).
- Effective time‑management skills; ability to prioritise and plan conflicting and complex work demands.
- Excellent telephone manner and outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to navigate IT systems, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Numeracy and ability to provide statistical data accurately.
- Knowledge of the EPR system.
- Minute taking.
