The Outpatient Clinic Admin Clerk/Receptionist will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support to patients attending Outpatient Clinics. This will include receiving and greeting patients into clinic areas whilst recording the patient’s attendance and clinical outcome on Patient Centre.
The role will also include an appointment booking service to enable patients to book future appointments when leaving the department. This may develop into booking appointments into other clinical disciplines (e.g., diagnostic). It may also involve some telephone booking of appointments and scheduling of forthcoming appointments from other sources of patient enquiries, whilst providing a confidential, efficient patient‑friendly service.
As a peripatetic receptionist you will have to travel to different working locations, sometimes at short notice, within your working hours.
