Job overviewWe are pleased to advertise a Peripatetic Receptionist role based at Werneth Primary Care Centre.
You will work in harmony and collaboration as part of a team providing a high quality and effective reception and administrative support service within the facility which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.
You will provide an accurate, confidential, comprehensive, and efficient clerical service to support tenants, ensuring priorities, deadlines and queries are always dealt with correctly and efficiently.
This post involved working on various receptions across 5 Oldham buildings to support all tenants including arriving patients & booking appointments, logging building faults, monitoring the car park and making room bookings.
This role will also involve covering receptions at Glodwick Primary Care Centre, Moorside Medical Centre, Werneth Primary Care Centre, Royton Health & Wellbeing Centre, and Integrated Care Centre. There may be odd occasions when you may be asked to help at a Rochdale site.
Applicants must be able to get between sites at short notice (ideally can drive and has a car).

The applicant must be able to work these contracted hours due to business requirements.

Main duties of the job- Greet all visitors to the building in a professional manner.
- Act as the main point of contact and a way-finding service for all persons entering the site, dealing with day-to-day queries as they arise.
- Provide general building orientation information to those who require it.
- Promote the image of the facility, checking that notices and leaflets are up to date and well presented.
- Prepare and maintain the reception and waiting areas and ensure public areas are well organised, clean, and tidy.
- Ensure the ‘signing-in’ procedures are adhered to by all visiting staff & contractors issuing keys and fobs as required to all those ‘inducted’ to the site.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail as necessary including deliveries of parcels.
- Field any enquiries and complaints from staff, visitors or external parties, accordingly, ensuring all enquiries are passed on to your line manager for a timely response.
- Maintain accurate contact records for key personnel, tenants, and emergency contacts.
- Arrange patient transport as required.
- Ensure that the reception area and back office is kept tidy and ready for use by incoming colleagues/tenants.
