An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive individual to join The Christie's International Education team as a Senior Education Coordinator, supporting our Observerships Programme.
You will provide senior administrative and operational support to deliver a high-quality programme for national and international visitors. As the main point of contact, you will coordinate end-to-end placements from initial enquiry through to programme delivery ensuring an excellent experience aligned with organisational priorities and governance requirements.
You will work closely with clinical colleagues to design tailored visitor placements linked to defined learning outcomes, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the Trust and beyond. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to wider international education activity, including event coordination, marketing and promotion, and data analysis to support continuous improvement and service development.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills who can manage a varied workload and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience of administration within an education or healthcare setting, alongside strong IT and data management skills, will be key to success in this role.
This role is hybrid but does require some onsite working in line with observer and visitor schedules. The post holder will lead the coordination of placements, managing the process from initial enquiry through to programme completion. Responsibility includes overseeing all aspects of visitor administration, including governance and compliance requirements are met, and that placements run smoothly, professionally, and in line with organisational standards.
The position requires building and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including national and international visitors, clinicians, operational teams, and external partners. Proactive engagement across departments and clinical sites is essential to support the successful delivery of the programme. A high level of organisation and proactivity is essential, along with strong administrative and coordination skills. Experience in managing complex processes, prioritising workloads, and working independently while maintaining close attention to detail is key.
The post holder will be confident in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams are critical to success in the role.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service. Experience in programme coordination, stakeholder management, or working within an education or healthcare setting would be advantageous.
The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year.
