Are you an experienced Receptionist with an Enhanced DBS who enjoys helping people and providing an excellent front-of-house service?

A well-established, values-led organisation is looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is approachable, empathetic and confident dealing with people face to face.

As a Receptionist, you'll provide a professional reception and administration service, dealing with visitors, service users and colleagues while ensuring queries are handled efficiently and professionally.

Due to the nature of the role, an Enhanced DBS check is required, with an existing DBS on the Update Service being highly advantageous.

What will you be doing as a Receptionist?

  • Welcoming visitors and service users and providing a friendly first point of contact
  • Answering and directing telephone calls and taking accurate messages
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries and providing appropriate support
  • Responding to enquiries via telephone and email
  • Providing general reception and administration support
  • Maintaining a professional and welcoming reception environment
  • Liaising with colleagues to resolve queries and ensure a smooth service
  • Handling information appropriately and maintaining confidentiality
  • Using your initiative to resolve issues and provide a positive customer experience

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front of House Receptionist, Front Desk Receptionist, Office Administrator, Customer Service Advisor or Administrator
  • Previous reception or administration experience is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable and empathetic personality
  • Confident dealing with people face to face
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and using your own initiative
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • An existing DBS would be advantageous, ideally registered on the Update Service
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and police background check
