We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Administrator to join our team at our new Barnardo's service in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
Barnardo's and Amazon have partnered to deliver an innovative programme that aims to support and transform the lives of young people across the Manchester area who are not currently in education, employment, or training.
As the Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for enquiries, providing information about the project and communicating key messages to young people, partners, and stakeholders. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the service by delivering high-quality administrative support.

Job Purpose:
To provide administrative support to the JOBS Project Manchester service. To be
the first point of contact for the service.
Key Responsibilities: - First point of contact for enquiries and information to internal and external contacts
- Assist the Team Manager with financial processes and management(e.g.
maintaining petty cash, processing invoices, staff expenses and travel
allowance for learners) - Coordinate diaries, arrange meetings, prepare documents and reports, and take accurate minutes at meetings.
- Input data, maintain filing systems, and develop and maintain learner records, both electronically and manually.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, ensuring accurate data recording and tracking to support reporting requirements.
Assist in the organisation and administration of events, activities, and programme-related meetings as required. - Support the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of young people participating in the programme.
- Provide administrative support for the Springboard Fund and learner bursary processes.
- Support the preparation, collation, and distribution of reports, correspondence, and other project documentation.
- Ensure information is handled confidentially and in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Take responsibility for your own professional development, including completing mandatory training and attending relevant learning and development opportunities.
This Job Description and Person Specification reflect the duties of the post as they exist at this time and may be subject to be changed based on the needs of the Department Programme. The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the salary and competence requirements of this post from time to time as required.
Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently to 31 March 2027 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.

The salary range advertised is in line withour pay principles, for consistency and fairness while recognising the skills and experience applicants bring to the role. Appointing salaries can be discussed further at appointment stage; we do seek to appoint within this range always exercising responsible stewardship.
