What you’ll be responsible for:

· Contacting patients by telephone approximately one week before their scheduled outpatient appointment or admission to confirm attendance and verify appointment details

· Ensuring patient demographic information, including contact details, is accurate and update systems where required

· Recording the outcome of all patient contacts accurately and promptly on the Trust patient administration system (PAS)

· Escalating appointment queries, complex booking issues, or concerns raised by patients to the appropriate senior member of staff

· Booking patients from waiting lists and manual referral lists in accordance with agreed booking procedures, where appropriate

· Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure appointments are booked and managed efficiently

· Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records in accordance with Trust policies and data quality standards

· Ensuring appointment records are maintained accurately on the patient administration system

· Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post as requested by the line manager
