Medical Administrator

Dollar Health Centre is looking for a Medical Administrator to join our fantastic team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be at the heart of the practice, helping patients, supporting clinicians, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

We are a busy practice, so the ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys variety, can stay calm under pressure, and is confident juggling multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service.

Hours

24 hours per week over 3 days

Working Monday to Friday between 7:45am and 6:15pm

What You'll Be Doing
  • Welcoming and assisting patients and healthcare professionals, both in person and over the telephone
  • Responding to a wide range of enquiries
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • Electronic filing, document management and workflow processing
  • Processing prescription requests
  • Managing new patient registrations
  • Updating and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Providing administrative support across the practice
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and enjoys working with people
  • Organised, efficient and has excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment and prioritising competing demands
  • A confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Competent in basic IT systems, including Windows, Word, Excel and email
  • Very flexible and willing to help cover annual leave and sickness when required

Previous experience in healthcare, administration, reception, hospitality, retail, or customer service would be an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
