Job DescriptionWe are seeking dynamic professionals at all levels to support our growing global Advisory business. Roles can be based anywhere in the UK.
Our focus areas include aviation, defence, energy, and water. We help clients develop strategy, improve performance, integrate digital systems, and create impact.
Here’s what you’ll do- Build client relationships and manage interactions throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Coordinate with regional leadership, Client Account Managers, and technical experts to flag key delivery choices and risks.
- Adapt existing analytical frameworks and develop new ones for client-specific needs.
- Apply and hypothesize new solution frameworks to deconstruct, dimension, and analyze client problems.
- Leverage AI tools for baseline assessments and secondary research.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, including C‑suite and senior management.
- Create executive‑ready decks and polished deliverables.
- Synthesize inputs into coherent insights across formats: slide decks, narratives, playbooks, dashboards.
- Coach and mentor junior staff to develop core consulting skills.
- Support Capture Managers with proposal elements: narrative, technical solution, pricing, team definition, subcontractor engagement, risk review, and compliance.
- Create pitch decks and define AECOM Advisory’s value proposition.
- Bring commercial acumen around client needs, budgets, and contexts.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Management consulting or corporate strategy experience or equivalent.
- MBA or Master’s in Operational Research, Management, Finance, Economics, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong technical skills with experience in public finance evaluation via Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and client‑service mindset.
- Collaboration across geographies and business lines.
- Ability to thrive in a high‑tempo, client‑facing environment.
- Self‑directed, anticipatory, and responsive to feedback.
- Outstanding attention to detail and numerical reasoning.
- Sharp analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Commercial acumen and informed perspectives on enterprise challenges.
- Verbal communication and narrative development skills for C‑suite audiences.
- Team player within a diverse consulting environment.
- Domain expertise in: corporate strategy, business transformation, technology transformation, capital projects advisory, decarbonisation, economic development, and related areas.
