Overview
Our client, a national public-sector organisation responsible for protecting and promoting England’s historic environment, is seeking a Business Officer to join its North West regional team.
This role sits within a Business Management function that supports operational delivery across advisory services, grants, and partnerships. It is well suited to an organised and analytical individual who enjoys working with colleagues and members of the public, managing information, and supporting effective service delivery.
Base pay rangeSalary: £26,135 per annum

Responsibilities- Support regional teams in delivering operational, statutory, and advisory services in line with organisational objectives.
- Assist with the management and administration of individual grants, including compliance with procurement and financial procedures.
- Facilitate the efficient provision of advice services, working directly with customers and stakeholders.
- Interpret and analyse information to support sound decision-making and professional judgement.
- Support local leadership with responses to internal and external requests, briefings, and information returns.
- Contribute to the delivery of group and corporate targets through effective coordination and administration.
- Engage with members of the public, providing clear, professional, and customer-focused support.
Core Skills & Experience
- Experience analysing and interpreting information to inform judgement and recommendations.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and use initiative.
- Experience working directly with members of the public.
- Strong financial aptitude with high attention to detail.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Ability to interpret maps, plans, and architectural drawings or elevations.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with a methodical approach to work.
