An established, international advisory and consultancy group is seeking a Senior Environmental Economist to support the growth of its natural capital and environmental economics offering in the UK.

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected global engineering consultancy, working at the intersection of environmental economics, natural capital, climate resilience and strategic advisory. The successful candidate will play a visible role in shaping service development while delivering high-quality work for public and private sector clients.

• Environmental assessment & valuation:
  Lead qualitative and quantitative economic valuation and accounting work, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
• Advisory & strategy:
  Design climate- and nature-resilient strategies and roadmaps, including nature finance options, integrated with wider decarbonisation and resilience programmes.
• Analytics & modelling:
  Build and quality-assure analytical models (primarily Excel-based), supporting baselines, scenario analysis and decision dashboards.
• Client delivery:
  Manage projects end-to-end, including proposals, scoping, stakeholder engagement, workshops and high-quality written outputs.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with internal specialists across environment, energy, water, transport and the built environment to deliver integrated solutions.
• Capability building:
  Mentor and support junior staff, review outputs and contribute to internal training and knowledge development.

• Strong applied experience in environmental economics and / or natural capital valuation.
• Proven consulting background with confidence managing projects, clients and multiple work streams.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including economic or financial modelling.
• Clear, confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior decision-makers.
• Relevant degree in economics, environmental sciences, sustainability or similar (postgraduate qualification desirable).
