Playing Pitch Strategy Specialist

We are delighted to be working with a market-leading sports management consultancy in the UK and Ireland, to recruit an experienced Playing Pitch Strategy Specialist
.

Our client provides business-focused solutions across the sport and leisure sector, working with clients including Sport England, national governing bodies, local authorities, private developers, leisure operators and charitable trusts.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of long-term projects, they are seeking a highly motivated specialist to lead and deliver Playing Pitch Strategies and support the future provision of sport and leisure investment across the UK.

As a Playing Pitch Strategy Specialist, you will lead and deliver project-based consultancy work, either independently or as part of a wider team. You will manage projects from inception to completion, contribute to the development of new products and services, and play an active role in business development, networking and winning new work.

• Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of Playing Pitch Strategy projects
• Manage projects of varying size and complexity, delivering on time and within budget
• Coordinate and manage specialist consultants where required
• Produce high-quality reports, project outputs and technical analysis
• Prepare and deliver presentations for projects and fee proposals
• Prepare competitive fee proposals to secure new work
• Review, interpret and analyse data to draw clear, evidence-based conclusions
• Represent and promote the company at meetings, conferences and industry events
• Contribute to the development and promotion of the company’s wider consultancy services
• Support ongoing business development and client relationship management

You will be an organised, motivated and data-oriented professional who can operate with minimal supervision while working collaboratively as part of a team. You will demonstrate leadership, initiative and a creative approach to problem-solving, alongside strong attention to detail and decision-making skills.

• Proven experience in the analysis of sports resources
• Management consultancy experience, including project management
• Strong knowledge of the sports and leisure industry
• Experience working with local government, commercial clients or similar organisations
• Good understanding of Sport England Playing Pitch Strategy Guidance
• Understanding of Strategic Outcomes Planning Guidance (SOPG) is desirable but not essential
• Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills
• Strong numerical and analytical capability
• Proficient IT skills, including Office 365 and GIS

• Salary up to £50k
• Pension contribution
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Hybrid working with UK-wide travel
