Marketing Commercial Development Manager - Contract

Location: Remote, with frequent UK travel. You’ll need to visit our Newcastle head office and be happy staying away overnight and working some weekends, especially in summer.

Contract: Part-time, March–October (day‑rate contract). Workload will vary based on events, with a mix of pre‑planned and ad‑hoc dates.

About the Role

Here at Vertu Motors, one of the largest UK Motor retailers, we’re looking for a commercially focused, relationship‑driven manager to find and maximise revenue opportunities across our events and partnerships. You’ll represent the brand externally, build strong relationships, and ensure event activity turns into real business results.

You’ll work closely with marketing, events, partnerships, sales teams and Brand Ambassadors to deliver a consistent commercial message and high‑quality customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities Commercial Development
  • Identify and activate commercial opportunities across events and partnerships.
  • Build strong networks with customers, partners and dealer teams.
  • Track, log and follow up all opportunities to maximise conversion.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Represent the brand in commercial conversations.
  • Connect event audiences to sales teams with clear, consistent messaging.
  • Collaborate across the business to align commercial actions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with events and partnerships teams to spot commercial potential.
  • Support commercial integration in event and partnership plans.
  • Work with CRM on data capture and customer follow‑up journeys.
Performance & Reporting
  • Track leads, activities and outcomes.
  • Provide clear reporting, insights and recommendations.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in commercial marketing, business development or partnerships.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and networking skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to spot and convert opportunities.
  • Analytical, organised and proactive.
  • Confident working in fast‑paced event environments.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys cross‑functional working.
