Head of Payouts – Car Finance | Manchester City Centre

We’re working with a fast-growing car finance business based in the heart of Manchester, who are on the lookout for a Payment Specialist to lead and shape their internal payouts function.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with previous team leadership experience and who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You’ll have the autonomy to build structure, introduce process improvements, and scale a high-performing team from the ground up.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the payouts team

• Reviewing current workflows and implementing efficient, scalable processes

• Acting as the go-between for internal sales, underwriting, and external partners

• Building and mentoring a team as the function grows

• Working closely with leadership to align payouts with business strategy

• Responsible for building out a robust, scalable payouts process and

• Implementing structure to support growth

What we're looking for:

• Prior experience in a payouts, sales support, or finance operations role within the car finance industry

• Proven track record of leading or supervising a small team

• Highly organised, process-oriented, and confident in building systems from scratch

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Comfortable using CRM or finance platforms and interpreting data to drive improvements

• A proactive, adaptable mindset and a desire to take full ownership of the function

Salary: DOE | Starting from £30,000 + competitive bonus structure
