This opportunity is for our Manchester office. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Apprenticeship at Manchester Metropolitan University. Candidates should live a commutable distance from our Manchester office and the university campus.
EligibilityFull eligibility details are available on the Manchester Metropolitan University website. In general, you need:
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), as well as one of the following;
- Three A-levels, grade C or above with one being a humanities subject;
- T Level: Pass (C and above); or
- Or equivalent qualification (BTEC).
You need to have resided in England for at least three years. We cannot offer visa sponsorship for this opportunity.
Job DescriptionAs a paid apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects that make a difference. Alongside your role, you’ll complete classroom-based learning – either in person or virtually. Upon completion, you’ll earn a nationally recognised qualification that leads onto exciting career opportunities.
This apprenticeship will typically last around 17 months, including four months to consolidate your portfolio and produce the project required for the end-point assessment. You’ll be part of a team that’s shaping tomorrow’s world – whether that’s through innovation, sustainability, or community impact.
This Opportunity Is For Our Social Value TeamAs part of the Social Value Team, you will:
- Support the planning, delivery, and reporting of social value initiatives across the business;
- Assist in the coordination of Mott Mac Donald’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, including employee volunteering, charity partnerships, and community engagement;
- Help monitor and evaluate the impact of our social value activities using Mott Mac Donald’s Social Value Delivery Model, relevant social value frameworks and metrics;
- Contribute to internal and external communications, including case studies, newsletters, and social media content;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed social value into business practices;
- Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, including events, workshops, and consultations;
- Maintain accurate records and support data collection for reporting and compliance purposes;
- Undertake research to support the development of new initiatives.
