We are now welcoming applicants for the role of National Account Manager within our Commercial Department, based in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities- An exciting opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of national retail accounts, with ownership of sales, margin, and customer strategy. This role plays a key part in driving the company's commercial growth and strengthening strategic customer partnerships
- To lead, develop and sustain the commercial performance of the company at targeted levels within your accounts
- To lead in the development and maintenance of effective and productive commercial relationships with customers
- Create and implement Joint Business Plans with key customers
- Identify and target new customers in current & new markets
- Manage Contracts and Pricing between customers and C&D
- Lead all aspects of these accounts, working closely with finance, operations, category & supply chain
- Identify & implement volume & margin driving initiatives for the business
- Manage Internal projects along side Sales Support Manager to agreed timelines
- JBP/Customer strategy ownership & implementation
- Weekly analysis of Sales & Profit across all accounts v agreed KPI's
- Build and lead strong, influential relationships with key retail stakeholders, positioning the business as a trusted commercial partner
- Lead preparation & presentation for customer meetings/visits
- Monthly reporting to wider business on KPI's
- Proven experience managing and growing national retail accounts, Private Label, FMCG desirable but not essential
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L performance
- Confident negotiator with experience in margin-led environments
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage complexity
- Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical capability
