1938 Modern Work Experience – Employer Engagement
GMCA is awarding a contract to provide a Modern Work Experience (MWex) Employer Engagement service. The provider will deliver employer market stimulation and engagement through a targeted campaign of interventions that secure measurable employer commitments and build sustained MWex delivery capacity across the system.
The service will support Greater Manchester’s technical education ambitions, enable young people to progress into MBacc pathways, T Level placements, and other technical opportunities. It aligns with national targets for 50 hours of work experience by Year 11 and the Greater Manchester Strategy (2025–35).
Primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing sector‑aligned, place‑based engagement campaigns.
- Securing employer commitments to deliver progressive Modern Work Experience.
- Building employer and provider capability for increased volume and quality of work experience.
- Reporting on measurable outcomes and aligning delivery with GMCA priorities.
Contract period: 1 st September 2026 to 31 st July 2027. Optional 12‑month extension to 31 st July 2028. Budget: £70,000 (excluding VAT) for each period.
