Synchronicity are currently working with a highly respected professional trustee firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join their growing governance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pensions professional who enjoys working across multiple schemes and projects, helping trustees maintain strong governance and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
The RoleIn this role, you will play a key role in supporting the governance of occupational pension schemes. These may include schemes that are ongoing, winding up, or currently in a Pension Protection Fund assessment period.
You may also act as Scheme Secretary, supporting Trustee Managers and Directors to ensure effective decision-making, strong governance processes and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting trustees with the ongoing governance of pension schemes
- Acting as Scheme Secretary where required, including preparing agendas, organising meetings and minute writing
- Managing annual regulatory reporting and governance processes
Carrying out adviser reviews and benchmarking exercises - Managing documentation controls and scheme communications
- Supporting projects including scheme wind-ups, regulatory reviews and governance improvements
- Experience working with Defined Benefit and/or Defined Contribution occupational pension schemes
- Knowledge of pensions governance and regulatory requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders
- Advanced skills using the Microsoft Office Suite
