The successful candidate will lead the Group's supplier due diligence and onboarding capability, ensuring suppliers are appropriately assessed, classified, governed and monitored throughout the supplier lifecycle.
The role provides operational ownership of supplier due diligence, third-party risk controls, outsourcing governance and associated reporting, supporting the business to make informed commercial decisions whilst maintaining an appropriate control environment.
So, what will your day-to-day look like?- Own the end-to-end Supplier Due Diligence and onboarding process
- Assess new suppliers against agreed risk, materiality and outsourcing criteria
- Coordinate due diligence activities across Legal, Security, Compliance, Finance and operational stakeholders
- Ensure supplier due diligence is proportionate to supplier risk and regulatory expectations
- Review supplier documentation including financials, insurance, security, resilience, compliance and regulatory evidence
- Provide constructive challenge to business stakeholders where supplier risks, due diligence or governance requirements have not been adequately addressed
- Support ongoing periodic reviews of existing suppliers, ensuring due diligence remains current throughout the supplier lifecycle
- Own supplier risk assessments and recommend appropriate approval routes.
- Maintain supplier, materiality, outsourcing and due diligence registers
- Monitor outstanding actions arising from supplier onboarding and ongoing reviews
- Produce supplier risk MI, dashboards and management reporting
- Identify emerging third-party risks and escalate appropriately
- Support regulatory requests, Internal Audit, ARC and second line reviews
- Continuously improve supplier onboarding processes, controls and governance
- Support Procurement with supplier lifecycle governance and contract implementation
- Previous experience within Procurement, Supplier Management, Third-Party Risk Management, Operational Risk, Supplier Due Diligence or a related governance function
- Experience coordinating supplier onboarding and due diligence activities
- Experience working within a regulated environment (Financial Services desirable)
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business, legal, compliance and operational functions
- Experience maintaining accurate records, registers and management information
- Experience producing management reporting and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Experience supporting outsourcing governance and supplier lifecycle management
- Understanding of FCA outsourcing expectations (including SYSC
8) or equivalent regulatory frameworks - Knowledge of supplier risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks
- Experience supporting internal or external audit activity
- Professional qualification (or working towards) such as CIPS, IRM, ICA, PRINCE2 or similar would be advantageous
- A first stage phone call with the internal talent acquisition team (15-minute call)
- A second stage Teams interview with the hiring manager (45-mins)
- A final stage face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and CFO (45-mins)
