At Sodexo, we're looking for a motivated Health & Safety Graduate to join our Healthcare team supporting services across Manchester Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Health & Safety professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a complex healthcare environment while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of employees, patients, visitors and contractors.

This role offers exposure to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management, helping you build the skills, knowledge and experience needed for a successful career in the profession.

Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you'll help drive a positive safety culture across our healthcare sites by:

• Supporting the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental strategies and initiatives
• Assisting with workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Helping investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting the development of Safe Systems of Work and operational procedures
• Producing and analysing safety performance data and reports
• Assisting with contractor management and compliance activities
• Supporting safety meetings, action tracking and reporting
• Delivering safety briefings, training and awareness campaigns
• Helping ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and Sodexo policies

You'll work with colleagues at all levels of the business, gaining valuable experience across operational, technical and leadership aspects of safety management.

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, develops strong relationships and is passionate about creating safer workplaces.

• Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a Health, Safety, Environmental or related discipline
• A genuine interest in pursuing a professional career within Health & Safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Aspiration to work towards Chartered status within a relevant Health & Safety discipline
• Experience producing reports and analysing data
• Understanding of risk management principles
• Knowledge of ISO management systems or Health & Safety legislation
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment
• Full UK Driving Licence
