Manchester, UK About SUMWON STUDIOS

SUMWON STUDIOS is a global brand house building, scaling and reimagining culturally relevant fashion, lifestyle and consumer brands. Our portfolio includes MISS GUIDED, SUMWON, BALR, Baby Phat, Playboy, AiiRZ, KiZN and KSTM.

In just a few years, we have grown from start-up to one of the fastest-scaling brand platforms in the industry. Combining creativity, data, technology and an agile supply chain, we build brands designed to win in today's digital-first world.

We operate at the intersection of culture, commerce and innovation. Whether launching new brands, acquiring established ones, or unlocking growth opportunities across our portfolio, we move quickly, think globally and challenge conventional ways of working.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Buying team and support the day-to-day management, trading and development of our product ranges.

This role is suited to someone in the early stages of their buying career who has already gained experience within a fashion buying, merchandising or product environment and is ready to take the next step.

You will work closely with the Buyer and wider Buying team across product performance, range planning, order management, product launches and trading activity, taking increasing responsibility for your assigned product areas while continuing to develop your commercial judgement.

The role will involve working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Product, Design, Marketing and Onsite teams, using sales data and product insight to identify opportunities, flag issues and support better buying decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily and weekly sales performance, identifying top-performing products and opportunities for in-season growth.
  • Analyse product performance across sales, fit, colour, trend and customer response to identify key insights.
  • Flag underperforming products and potential stock or intake issues early, supporting the Buyer with recommended actions.
  • Support range planning through historical sales, LY performance, category mix and price-point analysis.
  • Assist with product orders, sample reviews, cost checks and maintaining accurate buying trackers.
  • Maintain the seasonal product and launch calendar, ensuring key products are delivered in line with trading and marketing timelines.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Onsite and Content teams to ensure product information is ready ahead of key launches.
  • Monitor product returns and customer feedback, identifying recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support product and supplier feedback, helping track agreed actions through to completion.
  • Prepare product and trading analysis for range reviews and monthly/quarterly business updates.
  • Work collaboratively with Buying, Merchandising, Product, Design, Marketing and Onsite teams to keep product priorities aligned.
  • Take increasing responsibility for assigned product areas as your commercial knowledge and buying experience develops.
What you’ll bring
  • Previous experience in a Buying, Assistant Buying, Buying Admin, Merchandising or similar fashion/product role.
  • Ideally 3 years' experience within fashion buying, merchandising or a related product function.
  • Someone in the early stages of their buying career who is ready to take the next step and develop greater commercial responsibility.
  • A genuine interest in fashion, product and commercial performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with numbers and sales data.
  • Good Excel skills and an ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets, reports and trackers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple products, tasks and deadlines.
  • Commercially curious, with an interest in understanding why products perform well or poorly.
  • Good understanding of fashion trends, customer behaviour and product.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with different teams.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to identify and flag issues and suggest solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility within the Buying function.
What we’ll bring
  • 25 working days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Health Scheme
  • 30% employee discount on all Sumwon Studios brands (Sumwon, Miss guided, Aiirz)
  • Company social events
  • Creative work environment
