Health & Safety Coordinator

To support the HS&E Manager in the coordination, administration, monitoring and promotion of the Company’s preventive and protective measures, helping to ensure HS&E policies, procedures and statutory requirements are effectively implemented and maintained across the site. Manchester, UK Full Time, Permanent NEBOSH Diploma.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation, maintenance and administration of the HS&E Management System & Improvement Programme.
• Assist in communicating the HS&E Management System & Improvement Programme, helping ensure all functions understand their role within it.
• Support the preparation and delivery of presentations focused on HS&E objectives and goals.
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of improvement workshops.
• Support teams and individuals across departments to identify HS&E related opportunities for improvement.
• Assist managers with the practical delivery of HS&E actions across the business.
• Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the business in HS&E matters.
• Assist in maintaining documentation and systems of work in line with the HS&E Management Systems & Improvement Programme, reflecting best practice.
• Support Managers with root cause analysis to help resolve HS&E problems.
• Collate and report HS&E statistics on a regular basis.
• Maintain and update hazard spotting and accident/near-miss reporting systems.
• Keep up to date with HS&E legislation and support the communication of requirements to management and staff.
• Support occupational health surveillance monitoring administration, helping ensure employees are not exposed to long term workplace risk.
• Maintain accurate and effective record keeping for integrated safe systems of work.
• Support the administration of safe systems of work for contractors and visitors.
• Assist managers with accident investigations, tracking corrective actions through to completion.
• Support the coordination of HS&E audits and inspections across the site.
• Assist in monitoring and improving the risk assessment process, including tracking completion to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Provide technical and administrative support for risk assessments of processes and tasks across all departments.
• Support departments in managing on site contractors’ HS&E compliance to ensure legal and company requirements are met.
• Support the HS&E Manager in monitoring progress against agreed objectives and KPIs.

About You:

Experience

• Experience in an administrative, coordination or HS&E support role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting HS&E audits or inspections.
• Experience using HS&E management software or systems.
• HS&E experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Working across multi-site and multi-cultural locations.
