Senior Support Worker - 2 bedded Children's Residential Home
Location:
Manchester
Salary: £27,144 - £36,192 per annum, plus £52 per sleep
Hours:
Full-time, Permanent
Shifts:
3 x 12 hour shifts (based on 36 hour contract) - plus sleeps
Successful Senior Residential Support Worker candidates can choose between a 36 hour, 40 hour or 48 hour permanent contract.
Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider in Manchester, is recruiting for experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join their compassionate and expanding team.
About the Role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
Be part of the on-call rota and cover shifts when required
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Previous experience in a senior or team leader role within a children's residential setting
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
Driver with access to own car
