Role Overview :

We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team in response to our growing project pipeline. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and pricing for a range of commercial construction projects, supporting the successful delivery of our ongoing and upcoming work.

Key Requirements:

5 Years Experience in Estimating within the commercial sector

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including new build and refurbishment schemes typically ranging from £200k to £2m in value.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to complete thorough take-offs and develop comprehensive pricing submissions.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure commercially competitive and compliant tenders.
Manage multiple commercial tenders concurrently, maintaining strong organisation to meet all submission deadlines.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and commercial queries during the pre-construction phase.
Identify project risks, value engineering options, and cost efficiencies to strengthen tender proposals.
Compile and submit clear, professional tender documents and supporting cost reports.
Maintain and update estimating software and internal cost databases, ensuring accuracy of cost data.
Support project handovers and attend pre-start meetings to facilitate a smooth transition to the delivery team.
