Building Surveyor

Due to continued growth within the Building Surveying team in Manchester, we are seeking a Building Surveyor to join the team. This Building Surveyor role offers the opportunity to deliver a wide range of professional and project-based Building Surveying assignments. The successful Building Surveyor will be involved in condition surveys, defect analysis, contract administration, and project delivery across multiple sectors. The Building Surveyor will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality Building Surveying services.

The successful Building Surveyor will join an established property consultancy with a strong regional presence. The Manchester office works across commercial, healthcare, and educational projects, allowing the Building Surveyor to gain exposure to both professional and project work. As the Building Surveyor, you will deliver professional surveying services and support project teams across the full property lifecycle.

The role will include:

• Leading and developing project briefs in conjunction with clients and senior colleagues
• Establishing and maintaining client relationships
• Supporting business development and fee generation
• Undertaking site surveys including measured surveys, condition surveys, and defect analysis
• Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC)
• Delivering professional surveying work including party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections, and reinstatement cost assessments

You will be a competent and commercially aware Building Surveyor with experience delivering both professional and project-based work.

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• Experience advising on commercial, healthcare, or educational properties
• Competence with AutoCAD and/or REVIT; experience with NBS Chorus is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• £55,000 – £65,000
