As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the commercial management of a high‑rise residential development from procurement through to final account
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and package buy‑out
- Preparing and processing subcontractor payments and valuations
- Supporting the management of variations and change control procedures
- Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting, and budget monitoring
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation
- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor, Site Team, and Project Management team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor role within construction
- Experience working on residential, mixed‑use, or high‑rise developments would be advantageous
- A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
- The ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced project environment
- A relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification, or currently studying towards one
