Site Supervisor​/General Foreperson - Highways - North West, North East, Yorkshire

Octavius is looking for experienced Site Supervisors/General Forepersons to join our team working on Highways Projects in the North. These roles will support delivery of schemes on National Highways' Northern SDF framework, in National Highways Areas 10, 12, 13 and 14. We are looking for candidates located in Yorkshire, the North West and the North East. Candidates will be aligned to a core region based on their location, with travel primarily focused within that area.

The role involves night working.

• Oversee daily activities across highway construction and maintenance projects
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with National Highways specifications and requirements
• Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions for teams
• Coordinate resources including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including permits and reports
• Build effective working relationships with site teams, clients and key stakeholders

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• CAT & Genny trained
• First Aid at Work
• National Highways Passport
• Demonstrable experience supervising works on National Highways schemes
• Strong understanding of highways construction practices and health & safety standards
• Full UK driving licence
